Detroit: Become Human is the most recent game from Quantic Dream, the creators of Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls – and while all three of those games were previously exclusive to PS4, it’s recently been announced that they’ll be coming to PC, only on the Epic Games Store. Now, thanks to Epic, we know roughly how powerful a PC you’ll need to run these games.

The latest game from the studio is Detroit: Become Human, which only released on PS4 in May 2018 – so we’ll be focusing on the system requirements for that title, as it’ll certainly require a beefier PC to get working to PS Pro quality graphics than Heavy Rain or Beyond: Two Souls.

The minimum specs, however, are pretty reasonable. For processor you’ll only need an i5-2400, 4 gigabytes of memory, and a NVIDIA GTX 660 or equivalent with 2 gigabytes of VRAM. That’s not really challenging at all, and hopefully will get Detroit: Become Human looking at least as good as the base PS4 version. If it’s only slightly worse, it’ll still be an impressive-looking game.

The recommended requirements take a bit of a leap up, however, and we presume this will get Detroit: Become Human up to PS Pro-quality standards. You’ll need 64-bit Windows 10, an I7-2700K or equivalent processor, 12 gigabytes of memory, and a NVIDIA GTX 1080 or equivalent with 8 gigabytes of VRAM.

There are, of course, a number of requirements missing from this list, which appeared on the Epic Games Store itself. Hard drive space is the most noticeable requirement absent, for example. Hopefully this and more exact minimum specs will appear as the game gets closer to launch – whenever that is. While Detroit, Beyond, and Heavy Rain are all announced for PC, none of them have a PC release date as of yet.

Detroit: Become Human, Beyond: Two Souls, and Heavy Rain do not have a release date on PC as of yet. However, Quantic Dream’s first two games – Omikron: The Nomad Soul and Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy – are both on PC already, so give them a try if you want to see the weirdness David Cage and crew can come up with.
