YouTuber, Shirley Curry will be immortalized in the latest edition of Bethesda Softworks' The Elder Scrolls franchise. It was announced recently, during a livestream of The Elder Scrolls 25th anniversary that Shirley Curry would be an NPC.

Shirley Curry is an 82-year-old mega-fan of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. With her YouTube channel at over 500,000 subscribers, she has cultivated an audience eager to see the mother of four sons - and 9 grandchildren - play video games in her spare time. Throughout her playthrough of the game she affectionately earned the moniker of "Skyrim Grandma" from the people who view her streams. Recently, a petition was started by her fans to include her in the latest installment of The Elder Scrolls series as an NPC. When the fans spoke, Bethesda Softworks listened.

Aside from seeing a panning shot of the landscape, our glimpse of the Shirley Curry NPC - seen at roughly 8:40 in the anniversary stream video below - is one of the few images we've seen so far of The Elder Scrolls VI. As of now, a full title for The Elder Scrolls VI hasn't been revealed, although according to a trademark filed last September, it may be titled "Redfall". Regarding the release of the game, US Gamer reports the sequel is still in the early stages of development.

While we won't be seeing Curry's model for some time now, the "Skyrim Grandma" still has plenty to be happy about regarding her involvement in the series. "This means a lot to me because I would be extremely happy to know that somebody else was playing with my character in a future Elder Scrolls game," Curry stated about her NPC's inclusion during a video made celebrating the series. Currently, it is unknown if she will be voicing her character in The Elder Scrolls VI, however, we were privy to footage of Bethesda Softworks inviting Shirley Curry into their studio to capture her likeness for the game.

With 2019 being so pivotal for The Elder Scrolls franchise, Bethesda Softworks has allowed fans of the series - such as Shirley Curry - to play past installments in the franchise. The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is still free in the form of a digital copy until March 31st. Also, with E3 2019 coming this June, expect more information regarding The Elder Scrolls VI to be released. During last year's E3 was when the game was confirmed to be in production. Bethesda Softworks is seemingly set up to become big winners at E3, especially with studios like Sony dropping out. The 25th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls is shaping up to be a major contributor to the milestone year ahead for the company.
