Gamers eager to dive into Tom Clancy's The Division 2 for cheap can look forward to saving up to 40% on the game if they purchase it in the next couple of weeks. The latest entry in Ubisoft's shared-world shooter managed to garner critical praise upon its release, and the game has continued to grow since then. Several patches for The Division 2 have tweaked the experience to better ensure that fairness is at the forefront of the experience.

The studio behind The Division 2, Ubisoft Massive, has been making all the right moves for those that currently own the game. Still, growing the user base is of great importance for the longevity of the title. While Ubisoft isn't going to be making a baseline version of the game available as a free-to-play experience, much like Bungie will offer through Destiny 2: New Light, there are other plans in place to make The Division 2 more accessible. Namely, a major sale on the game.

Ubisoft has announced a limited-time sale for The Division 2 which will see all versions of the game on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 drop by 40% in price. Players on Windows PC will also be able to get in on the fun, providing those that prefer the platform with a 33% price cut for The Division 2. The sale will run on the Ubisoft Store from now until June 24, 2019, at which point aspiring agents will have to fork over the full sum if they want to explore the wastelands of Washington.

Ubisoft has big plans for E3 2019, and news on the future of The Division 2 is sure to be a focus. Players are still eagerly awaiting various features for the looter-shooter, like the addition of matchmaking for 8-player raids. Still, the game has continued to improve in the months following its release, which is a good sign that more updates are in the works.

Of course, a multiplayer game like The Division 2 is only as engaging as the community that surrounds it, which is why sales like this are a great opportunity for gamers to try the game out for themselves. Sadly, it appears that the early adopters of Google's Stadia won't be able to lock in a preorder for the game at this discounted rate. Since Ubisoft is bringing The Division 2 to Google Stadia, as well as a number of other games, hopefully that service's launch day will also bring with it some decent sales for gamers.
