The newest Assassin's Creed game has been revealed today during a live stream on Twitch and it is called Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. Ubisoft enlisted talented digital artist BossLogic to create an art piece to tease the new game in the Assassin's Creed franchise. There have been rumors for a long time that the new game would be set in the era of vikings, and now that appears to be true.

Earlier this year there were several leaks suggesting that the new game would be called Assassin's Creed: Ragnarok. Listings for the title appeared on several websites online before being taken down quickly. These rumors didn't last long however as insider information stated that the title would instead be Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. After months of fans wondering what name Ubisoft would wind up going with, it seemed that a viking setting was imminent for the franchise. After watching BossLogic's stream it is obvious that the new game will involve viking assassins.

BossLogic spent the Twitch stream teasing the Assassin's Creed:Valhalla by drawing the background and what seems to be the brand new protagonist. The left side of the image shows off viking looking ships, while the right side details a group of men fighting below a castle. The protagonist is seen clutching a large axe and sports viking-esque armor and beard. One thing that has seemed to upset fans is that the protagonist is not missing any fingers, and therefore shouldn't be capable of using a hidden blade - though this could mean that the character on the cover is pre-Assassin induction or not the protagonist at all. The stream ended with BossLogic confirming the name of the newest entry and that a reveal event would be held tomorrow for Assassin's Creed: Vahalla.

Assassin's Creed: Valhalla will be revealed April 30th at 8am PDT
