Now that the Ms. Marvel finale has been released, viewers can look forward to the next Marvel TV show, and Disney+ has already revealed what that will be. Ms. Marvel, which followed the adventures of Kamala Khan as she gained superhuman powers and discovered her true identity, was the seventh MCU series released on the Disney streaming service. As part of its Phase 4 expansion, the superhero franchise has introduced television shows that share continuity with MCU's theatrical films, and Marvel shows no signs of slowing down, with the next series already slated for release only one month after Ms. Marvel's end.
Through the Disney+ shows, Marvel Studios gives the spotlight to established supporting characters from the MCU's movies and also introduces newcomers who will lead the franchise’s Phase 4 and beyond. In 2021, the shows WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, What If...?, and Hawkeye were all released on the streaming service. Moon Knight then kick-started 2022’s slate of Disney+ MCU projects. This was then followed by Ms. Marvel, which debuted in June 2022 and ended with its finale released on July 13, 2022.
Now, another popular comic book superhero is set to make her debut in an upcoming Marvel Studios Disney+ TV show, and she will be joined by some familiar characters from previous MCU installments as well. This next MCU series to release on Disney+, coming after the conclusion of Ms. Marvel, is titled She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and it's focused on the titular character, who debuted in the pages of Marvel Comics back in 1980.
She-Hulk Is The Next Marvel TV Show
Created by Rick and Morty writer Jessica Gao, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is a nine-episode Disney+ series debuting on August 17, 2022, and ending on October 12. The upcoming show follows Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany), a lawyer specializing in superhuman cases who receives a blood transfusion from her cousin Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), a.k.a. the Hulk. As a result, she acquires a condition similar to Bruce’s, and she becomes She-Hulk, a large, strong, green-hued version of herself that comes out when she faces overwhelming amounts of anger and fear. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law also stars Jameela Jamil, Ginger Gonzaga, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Tim Roth, and Benedict Wong.
The first look at She-Hulk: Attorney at Law was shown during the releases at Disney+ Day 2021 with a 15-second clip exclusive for Disney+ subscribers. Months later, the official trailer for the show was launched at Disney’s 2022 Upfront presentation. Unlike its teaser, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’s trailer provided a more elaborate story, showing Jennifer’s day-to-day life of heading to work, training with Bruce, and even going on dates. However, while it was praised for introducing the humorous and playful heroine, it was also criticized at the time for She-Hulk's CGI quality. Nonetheless, the spot for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law broke records for being the second-most viewed trailer for a Disney+ MCU show, with 78 million views in 24 hours.
