Ray Liotta's daughter Karsen Liotta remembered the late actor with a sweet throwback photo of the two of them together. Liotta was an American actor and producer, best known for starring in Goodfellas. Sadly, Liotta passed away on May 26 at the age of 67. While Goodfellas was one of his most recognizable films, his long and impressive career spanned countless films and TV shows. The actor had a penchant for mob bosses, police officers, and detectives, but he never shied away from more unique roles like portraying Frank Sinatra or the ghost of a baseball star.
Liotta first gained attention for his role as the unhinged Ray Sinclair in Something Wild in 1986. This film would kick off Liotta's career and he would spend the rest of his life acting. In fact, he still has five more films he appeared in that are in various stages of production and will be posthumous releases. Additionally, The Many Saints of Newark, Marriage Story, No Sudden Move, and Kill the Messenger mark some of his most recent projects. Liotta was also a father, sharing one daughter, Karsen, with his ex-wife Michelle Grace. The 23-year-old has followed in her father's footsteps as she, too, is an actress.
Karsen took to Instagram to remember her late father, sharing a sweet throwback photo of the two of them. The heartwarming photo sees Liotta holding a young and smiling Karsen in his arms. Along with the photo was a simple, but beautiful caption. In it, Karsen remembered how everyone who knew her father loved him and she thanked him for being the best dad she could've asked for. Karsen's sweet tribute marks the first time she has spoken out after her father's passing. His unexpected passing shocked and saddened many and the tributes and memories have continued to flow in. Many of these tributes reiterate Karsen's sentiments of how lovable Liotta was. Jennifer Lopez, who starred alongside Liotta in Shades of Blue, remembered him as her "partner in crime" and also recalled how kind he was to her children. Tributes from Martin Scorsese, Joe Pesci, Alessandro Nivola, and Seth Rogen are just a few more of the many who remembered Liotta. Most remembered him for his acting skills, his legendary career, and for looking like a tough guy on the outside, but for actually being the sweetest person on the inside.
Many of these tributes also included messages of support and love to Karsen. In addition to Karsen, Liotta also left behind a fiancée, Jacy Nittolo, who also paid tribute to the actor and described him as a beautiful person inside and out. While Liotta was certainly one of the greatest actors of his generation, his legacy may be the numerous lives he touched. As Karsen stated, everyone who knew him truly seemed to love him and was touched by his kind personality. Karsen also continues to celebrate her father's work, sharing an Instagram story promoting the trailer for Black Bird, a TV series starring Liotta that will also be a posthumous release. Although he has passed, Liotta's legacy lives on through his daughter, the lives he touched, and the countless shows and films that he put his passion and his life into.
