Thanos (Josh Brolin) wants to destroy the Earth in the latest Avengers: Endgame TV spot. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo in collaboration with writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the film is hailed as the culmination of everything that's transpired in the franchise over the last t0 years. It'll mark the end of The Infinity Saga - the collective name for all 22 films in the MCU thus far - and is the direct sequel to last year's Avengers: Infinity War.

With the catastrophic ending of Infinity War, Endgame will feature the remaining Marvel heroes at their lowest point. With no prior experience of genuinely losing to a villain, coming to terms with failing at stopping Thanos in decimating half of life in the universe in the hopes of balancing it will be difficult. Not much is known regarding the movie's plot specifics, with Disney and Marvel Studios running a measured marketing campaign, but the heroes, led by the original Earth's Mightiest Heroes will be launching a new mission that will hopefully defeat the Mad Titan and restore the universe's status quo. But with Thanos standing in their way, it won't be a walk in the park for the good guys, especially with the remainder of Earth also in danger, as the villain threatens to destroy it in a new promo clip.

Marvel Studios (via Comic Book) rolled out a brand new Endgame TV spot with new dialog from Thanos threatening someone. "After I kill you, I'm going to burn this annoying little planet to cinders," he says. While there's no visual context to this line, there's a good chance that the Mad Titan is telling this to any of the remaining heroes, more likely someone from MCU's trinity: Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth) or Captain America (Chris Evans). This ad succeeds another promo video featuring Thanos taunting the Avengers to finish their ongoing fight. Watch the clip below:

Aside from the new dialog from Thanos, the 15-second promo also features a slew of never-before-seen footage for Endgame - the biggest one is arguably fans' first look at Valkryie (Tessa Thompson), who's been missing in action since people last saw her at the end of Thor: Ragnarok. Her whereabouts remain unknown and her bit in the spot doesn't give anything away with regard to her location. From the looks of it though, it doesn't seem like she's in distress, she even has a new wardrobe and hairdo. Elsewhere in the video, there's a tender moment between Pepper (Gwyneth Paltrow) and Tony. It's difficult to gauge what's exactly happening in that moment, but it seems like they were talking about something emotional with Tony's eyes a bit misty. Perhaps he's recalling his experience in Titan and how he saw Peter Parker (Tom Holland) disintegrate in his arms. Finally, there's a string of shots during the big battle between MCU's trinity heroes and Thanos, including Iron Man crashing down, Captain America watching the action unfold, and Thanos wielding his new weapon.

Given the fact that Thanos' initial goal was just to balance the universe by wiping put half of its population, it's curious why he seems extremely eager to destroy Earth. For the most part in Infinity War, he didn't even intentionally kill anyone except for Gamora and Loki (granted their history together). Perhaps he's genuinely angry at the Avengers for not knowing when to give up, as they persistently try restore peace and order in the universe and undo everything he's done. After all, the heroes' battle cry in Avengers: Endgame is "whatever it takes," meaning they're stopping at nothing to ensure they succeed against the Mad Titan this time.
