Shazam! Fury of the Gods has brought on Christophe Beck, an MCU veteran composer, to create its score. Directed by David F. Sandberg, the upcoming sequel to 2019's Shazam! serves as the twelfth entry in the DCEU and will follow its titular superhero as he takes on Hespera and Kalypso, the daughters of Greek Titan, Atlas. In addition to Sandberg, the film returns much of its cast and crew, with Henry Gayden having come back to write the script and Benjamin Wallfisch originally getting tapped to compose the score again. As the result of an altering release schedule, Shazam! Fury of the Gods' premiere date was pushed back and will be debuting on December 21, 2022.

Now, Sandberg has taken to Twitter to update fans on another change, sharing that Christophe Beck has replaced Benjamin Wallfisch as the film's composer. After one fan asked about Wallfisch's return, the director replied that due to scheduling issues, Beck had stepped in to score the sequel, but added that he has done amazing work. Check out Sandberg's tweet below:

Christophe Beck has a long and impressive discography, having scored Disney's Frozen series, as well as a handful of Marvel projects such as the Ant-Man films, WandaVision, and Hawkeye. As Sandberg put it, a lot of movies are being made right now, but fans can rest assured that Beck will be a capable replacement, and with the addition of Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu, there is still much to be excited about. They can look forward to seeing what Beck brings to the film when Shazam! Fury of the Gods hits theaters this holiday season.
