Audiences need to be careful who they trust in the new Bodies Bodies Bodies trailer. The new A24 horror movie revolves around a group of seven young friends who take a trip to a remote mansion in the hopes of restoring their friendships after one distanced herself for a while due to being in rehab. When they elect to play the murder-in-the-dark game Bodies Bodies Bodies, they find their relationships not only further fractured, but their lives threatened when one person turns up dead.

Bodies Bodies Bodies is comprised of an ensemble cast including The Hate U Give's Amandla Stenberg, Borat 2's Maria Bakalova, Myha'la Herrold, Chase Sui Wonders, Rachel Sennott, Guardians of the Galaxy's Lee Pace and The Suicide Squad's Pete Davidson. Development on the horror comedy was first announced in early 2018 when A24 picked up the rights to Kristen Roupenian's script, with Watcher's Chloe Okuno initially being brought on to re-write and direct, though Halina Rejin would later be brought on to direct while Sarah DeLappe would re-write. After being filmed in mid-2021, Bodies Bodies Bodies is gearing up to hit theaters this summer and audiences are getting a new look at the slasher comedy.

With less than a month remaining until its release, A24 has released a new Bodies Bodies Bodies trailer. The video offers a better look at the friend group caught up at the center of the titular party game gone wrong, as well as the relationships between them all. Check out the new trailer below:

Though the new Bodies Bodies Bodies trailer may not offer deeper clues as to the killer behind the murder spree, it does offer better insight to the relationships between its characters. The most notable of the relationships seems to be that between Amandla Stenberg's Sophie, who just got out of rehab, and her working-class girlfriend, Maria Bakalova's Bee, who is new to the central group of friends. Between her reserved personality and the group's surprise at learning of their relationship, the new Bodies Bodies Bodies trailer seems to point towards Bee essentially acting as the protagonist of the film and the audience's surrogate as she is introduced to the full roster of characters and the eponymous party game.

After flying under the radar for much of its production, anticipation has been high for Bodies Bodies Bodies since the reveal of its ensemble cast, namely Pete Davidson, and its South by Southwest Film Festival debut this past March. The A24 horror film scored rave reviews at the Texas-based film festival, currently sitting at a 96 percent approval rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes with praise directed towards its social satire, cinematography, music and pacing, as well as the performances of its cast. Only time will tell if audiences respond as favorably as critics when Bodies Bodies Bodies hits theaters on August 5.
