Quentin Tarantino Called On To Make Kill Bill 3 By Original Star

Original star Vivica A. Fox calls on legendary Hollywood writer-director Quentin Tarantino to make Kill Bill: Volume 3. Released in 2003, Kill Bill: Volume 1 saw Tarantino pay homage to Japanese and Kung-Fu cinema with Uma Thurman as Beatrix "The Bride" Kiddo, a woman embarking on a quest for revenge against her former crime boss and lover. Fox stars as Vernita "Copperhead" Green, a member of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad that Beatrix brutally dispatches in the beginning of the film.

Speaking with Variety, Fox calls on Tarantino to continue the Kill Bill film series with another entry. The actor claims fans are clamoring for more of the story, teasing a potential follow-up centered around Green's daughter, Nikkia Bell, a child who witnesses her mother's bloody murder. Fox states she would "absolutely" return in a sequel if asked by Tarantino. Read what the actor says below:

“People are hungry. Quentin, let's go! [...] I’ve been waiting. They said it’s going to be my daughter growing up. I know he’ll figure out some kind of way… maybe I’ll be in a flashback. I’d love to work Quentin again and I’d love to work with Uma again. It was a lot of training.”
What Quentin Tarantino Has Said About Kill Bill 3

Originally intended to be a single film, Kill Bill was split into two volumes and released a year apart. The movies were met with praise from both critics and audiences alike, with many considering the films to be some of Tarantino's best work. Since the films' release, Tarantino has been questioned about continuing Beatrix and her daughter's story. He has periodically entertained many fan ideas and discussed various possibilities for a future sequel.

While on Joe Rogan's podcast in 2021, Tarantino teased a possible Kill Bill: Volume 3 storyline centered on Beatrix's daughter, BB. The director hopes to cast Thurman's daughter, Stranger Things star Maya Hawke, as BB if he ever decides to continue the story. Hawke has since claimed she would love to work with Tarantino if he called on her for the sequel. Meanwhile, Fox has publicly pushed for a sequel focused on Green's daughter, fan-casting Zendaya as Nikkia.

Will Kill Bill 3 Ever Happen?

Since Kill Bill: Volume 2's release, Tarantino has gone back-and-forth regarding his commitment to another Kill Bill sequel. In 2009, the director stated that Kill Bill 3 would be his ninth film and release in 2014. However, that year came and went, with Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood taking that spot in Tarantino's filmography in 2019, leaving only one more entry left to complete his 10-film promise. However, that same year, the director revealed he had sat down with Thurman and discussed continuing Beatrix's story in a subsequent movie. Unfortunately, with no concrete information, fans have to be patient to see if Tarantino's 10th and final film will be Kill Bill: Volume 3.

I read QT once had an idea to do a Bonnie & Clyde set in the Australian Outback. Sounded like a fantastic one but a maverick like him keeps jumping from one idea to the other. I really hope he continues to make movies like Martin Scorsese. I've heard him saying many times that he feels outdated in today's world. But I believe his vision is relevant and essential to the world of Cinema which has devolved into a purely money-making machine instead of what it was originally conceived to be "An Artform". An auteur like him should never say goodbye!
