It's full steam ahead, as Tom Cruise will be heading to France for Mission: Impossible 6.

The sixth Mission: Impossible film is set to go before the cameras this year, with production getting going as early as the spring. The movie had reportedly been held up due to disagreements over remuneration (a pay dispute, basically), but those now seem to have been resolved. As such, Mission: Impossible 6 – that’ll again be headlined by Tom Cruise – is nearly ready to go.

The new movie has now secured Paris as one of its key locations too, with the film set to shoot there in the early summer. Christopher McQuarrie is returning to direct, following his success with Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, and he’s also penned the script.

Rebecca Ferguson is also set to return alongside Tom Cruise, but it’s unclear yet if Jeremy Renner’s commitment to making Avengers: Infinity War will keep him out of Mission: Impossible action.

Mission: Impossible 6 is currently scheduled for release on July 27th 2018.
