A new Marvel Cinematic Universe teaser trailer shows fresh footage from Phase 5 of the MCU. As Phase 4 ended with the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the MCU is set to move into Phase 5, which consists of the continuation of Marvel's ongoing multiverse saga. Kang the Conqueror is loose and ready to plunge the multiverse into an eternal war that will see the destruction of entire universes. Marvel's reloaded Avengers roster will have to prepare to face a villain from across the multiverse.

Newly released footage from Marvel India shows off Loki season 2, Secret Invasion, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 with the help of Loki's Miss Minutes.

While there were some real problems with Phase 4 of the MCU, Phase 5 is set up to return the MCU to its roots now that a new generation of heroes has entered the superhero scene. Phase 5 is set up to explode, with the Guardians ready to bow out, Ant-Man and the Wasp facing off against Modok and Kang the Conqueror, and Loki set up to explore more of the world at large.

Everything We Know About Phase 5 Of The MCU

Phase 5 of the MCU is set to open with Ant-Man and his team facing off against Kang the Conqueror, as the multiversal threat becomes evident to the Avengers for the first time. Unfortunately, Ant-Man can't possibly beat Kang, which he admits in the trailer, meaning Kang will continue to haunt the Avengers after Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Kang will likely become a significant threat in Phase 6 of the MCU, meaning that Phase 5 will continue to serve as a set-up for the villain, much like Phase 2 of the MCU set up the threat of an invasion by Thanos.

After Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the rest of the MCU films in Phase 5 will include Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which will see the end of the Guardians team, The Marvels, which will feature Captain Marvel meeting Ms. Marvel and Monica Rambeau, Captain America: New World Order, Thunderbolts, and Blade. Captain America: New World Order will center around the new Captain America, Sam Wilson, as he encounters a new Falcon and faces off against the Leader. Thunderbolts will serve as the worst Avengers replacement team and essentially be Marvel's answer to a more lighthearted Suicide Squad. Blade, meanwhile, will explore Blade's journey as he faces off against MCU vampires and possibly other monsters.

On the TV side of the MCU, Phase 5 will include What If...? season 2 and Loki season 2 while adding Secret Invasion, Ironheart, Echo, Agatha: Coven of Chaos, and Daredevil: Born Again. Though Marvel's animation team has reportedly been in turmoil, only What If...? is an animated production, meaning the other shows should continue to thrive even if What If...? is eventually delayed. The shows will continue expanding the MCU's repertoire of heroes, offering new threats and escalating the Kang drama through Loki. Since some theories explain that Daredevil is setting up his own Avengers team, the shows could be even more important than the movies in the MCU's Phase 4.
