Oh this is hard, im mostly into sci-fi and mindfuck movies and the more times you need to see it to understand the better so:

1. 2001: A space odyssey
2: Primer
3: The fountain
4: Eternal Sunshine of Spotless Mind
5: Being John Malkovich

There are many movies that I like a lot but only one comes to my mind as alltime favorite movie:

Nirvana (the director's or European cut, not the shaved off American censored version).
it's a low budget distopian movie about video games, AI, love, immortality, which is influenced by the big names of the genre such as blade runner and has many references for the fans to the style, but personally I feel it treats many more ideas and it's totally steam punk. There is even a scene towards that was later ripped into Matrix Reloaded.

Matrix, The Godfather, The Lord of The Rings, Leon ..the list goes on

I think it's probably Back to the Future, it's always so entertaining to watch, runner up is either Matrix or Animatrix, it's hard to decide between those two.
