The second episode opens with David hiding in a hotel room under the disguise of "Buck Dancer". After friends Jeff Garlin (Jeff Greene) and JB Smoove (Leon Black) visit him at the hotel, David, sporting a fake moustache and toupee, returns to his home in L.A. but not without constantly looking over his shoulder. Garlin assures David that he "spoke to the FBI" and that the co-creator of "Seinfeld" must stop fearing for his safety.

While the plot from the first episode remains unclear, David is apparently in trouble with the Palestinians and Lebanese for sleeping with Shara -- the woman who works at Al-Abbas Chicken. During the third episode of the eighth season titled 'Palestinian Chicken,' David and Shara shared intimate relations.

Curb Your Enthusiasm season 9 spoilers: Danson, Cheryl begin dating

A little later, Bob Einstein (Marty Funkhouser) and Ted Danson (himself) visit David at his home to lend support to their dear friend. However, Danson reveals his true intentions before seeking David's permission to date Cheryl Hines (Cheryl David) -- the on-screen ex-wife of David.

As expected, David is perplexed by Danson's admission and threatens to date Mary Steenburgen -- the real life spouse of the former "Cheers" star. With Danson still in the room, David calls Mary for a date but gets rejected. However, that doesn't stop Danson from pursuing Cheryl.

When David returns to the Ritz-Carlton Hotel to collect a pair of pyjama bottoms, Danson and Cheryl, arm in arm, are seen strolling through the lobby. They stare at David, still in disguise as "Buck Dancer," before walking away from the hotel bar. David tries to follow them but gets kicked out of the hotel after an altercation with the lobby manager.
