HBO executive Casey Bloys offers a promising update on the expected The Last Of Us TV series release date. Set to star The Mandalorian's Pedro Pascal and Game of Thrones' Bella Ramsey, The Last Of Us has arguably earned the title of the most-anticipated upcoming TV series. Per THR, during a recent interview with Bloys, which sees the HBO head discussing a number of the network's upcoming projects, The Last of Us release date gets a much-needed update. When asked when audiences can expect the adaptation to arrive, Bloys shares that the release window is "closer to early 2023." Nothing more is revealed with regards to The Last Of Us and its current status, however, after it was confirmed to have entered post-production earlier this summer.


Prior to The Last Of Us officially wrapping, the show's release date had been widely speculated on, with many hoping to see the episodes air before the end of 2022. Earlier this year, however, Bloys confirmed that the series would not release in 2022, and this new update therefore offers a slightly narrower release window.
