Benedict Cumberbatch walks into a comic book shop in full costume in the middle of filming for Doctor Strange. It's been almost four years since Marvel Studios' sorcerer debuted in the Scott Derrickson-directed project. Since then, the hero appeared in two more movies - Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, which exponentially increased his popularity among fans.

Doctor Strange's next adventure as the universe's resident sorcerer will continue in Doctor Stange in the Multiverse of Madness. Initially set to release May of next year, the movie has been pushed all the way back to 2022 due to the coronavirus pandemic. This is understandably a bummer for a lot of fans considering that it's the film in MCU's Phase 4 slate that has been delayed the longest. As everyone waits for his next appearance on the big screen, however, never-before-seen footage from his time working on the 2016 movie has made its way online.

Shared by Derrickson on his official Twitter account, the short clip featured Cumberbatch walking to a comic book store while in full Doctor Strange costume during a break in filming for the origin movie. The whole video was shot by the filmmaker himself, giving fans a unique perspective of how things unfolded when the actor decided to surprise some customers who were shopping for comics, as well as the owner of the establishment. The public knew that this happened years ago as photos and videos from Cumberbatch's comic book visit made the rounds online. The actor also regularly recalled this experience when asked about his time working on Doctor Strange. It was memorable for him because it was a treat seeing all the surprised looks on the people's faces, not to mention seeing his character on the cover of a comic book looking exactly like him. This is the first time, however, that Derrickson shared this video, which gives the public a better look at how things panned out when Cumberbatch visited the store.

Derrickson's video also gives fans an indication of the working environment they had while filming Doctor Strange. Seeing as how game both Cumberbatch and the director were in pulling off this joke, it's safe to assume that they've had a lot of fun filming the movie. Unfortunately, the pair won't be reunited for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as initially announced because the director exited the project due to creative differences. Sam Raimi has been tapped to take over instead, which is still exciting for a lot of fans of his Spider-Man trilogy in the 2000s.
