John Wick: Chapter 4 actor Keanu Reeves addresses the possibility of a John Wick and The Equalizer crossover involving himself and Denzel Washington. The upcoming film in the John Wick franchise will see Reeves return as the titular character and will co-star Donnie Yen, Hiroyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson, and Bill Skarsgård as Wick uncovers a way to defeat the High Table after the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum. After that, the John Wick franchise will venture into the world of spinoffs, with Len Wiseman's Ballerina starring Ana de Armas and Peacock's The Continental.

During a Q&A session with Reeves on Reddit to promote the release of John Wick: Chapter 4, the actor responded to a fan question about an Equalizer crossover. The fan asked if it was previously discussed for Reeves and Washington to star in a "John Wick x Equalizer" crossover film, and Reeves only said, "…Ha…no…that would be crazy. Crazy good!"

Everything We Know About the John Wick Spinoffs

While chances of a John Wick crossover film are extremely slim, the franchise will soon release two spinoff titles. The first is Ballerina, which will be set between the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum and John Wick: Chapter 4. It stars Ana de Armas as Rooney, a ballerina and assassin who goes on a revenge-fueled quest after her family gets killed. John Wick franchise veterans Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, and Angelica Huston are all slated to appear, with Reeves also reprising his role as Wick. Len Wiseman helms the film, from a screenplay by Shay Hatten and Emerald Fennell.

The second planned spinoff is a television miniseries titled The Continental, which follows how Winston Scott rose to become the hotel's owner. The show is set in the 1970s, with Colin Woodell starring as a young Winston. Mel Gibson, Hubert Point-Du Jour, Jessica Allain, and Peter Greene also star. The miniseries, directed by Albert Hughes and Charlotte Brändström, will contain three 90-minute episodes and air on Peacock at an unspecified date.

John Wick 5 is also in the works, but it is unclear if more spinoff films and television series will arrive after Ballerina and The Continental. Regardless, franchise creator Chad Stahelski seems keen on expanding the John Wick universe one way or another through its main films and spinoffs. The intent seems to be to create a richly-layered and original universe for an action franchise that could last way beyond Reeves. Audiences won't have to wait very long for the return of Baba Yaga, as John Wick: Chapter 4 releases in theaters on March 24.
