A dozen new character posters have arrived for the second season of Strangers Things, highlighting Hawkins’ new and returning residents. After season 1 of Stranger Things took the internet by storm, anticipation is high for the new batch of episodes dropping right before Halloween this year. Given the insular nature of the first arc, it’s anyone’s guess whether the team behind the show will be able to recapture the magic this time around. Of course, with a third season confirmed and a fourth and final run rumored, Stranger Things isn’t going away anytime soon.
Though originally conceived of as an anthology series, the characters from the first season of Stranger Things are now as essential to the show as the music and ’80s homages. As such, the upcoming season will see them struggling with the aftermath of what happened when Will was taken to the Upside Down. Each character will get a new arc, with special focused paid to Will; after sitting out much of last season, he’ll have a dark and supernatural new plot following on from where things ended last year. The upcoming set of episodes will also introduce a handful of new characters, and we now have our first look at two of them.
The Stranger Things Twitter just released 12 new posters focusing on the returning characters and two of the new faces. Alongside Eleven, we have our first look at the mysterious siblings Billy and Max, played by Dacre Montgomery (Power Rangers) and Sadie Sink (The Glass Castle), respectively.
