Lightning McQueen and Mater are hitting the road in two new Cars on the Road videos, one of which reveals the Pixar show's charming theme song. The animated series centers on Owen Wilson's Lightning and Larry the Cable Guy's Mater as they venture on a cross-country road trip for the wedding of Mater's estranged sister. The two get wrapped up in a number of adventures along the way, including a visit to a haunted house, a Mad Max-like apocalypse and more. The show is Pixar's fourth Disney+ project after Forky Asks a Question, Dug Days and Monsters at Work.

In anticipation for the show's premiere, Pixar released two Cars on the Road clips for the upcoming spinoff. One video shows Mater testing out a jet propulsion system, much to the concern of Lightning, while the second is the show's theme song from Bobby Hamrick full of footage from the duo's adventures. Check out both clips below:

From the looks of the Cars on the Road theme song and clip, it looks like the show will retain the lighter tone of the first two films, with the third movie memorably being much darker. Given the Pixar series seems to focus more on McQueen's relationship with Mater as they travel the country, it's understandable why the show will have such an upbeat tone and atmosphere. While audiences await details on Pixar's next theatrical project Elemental, they can catch up with Cars on the Road streaming on Disney+ on September 8.
