JAMES Lock and Yazmin Oukhellou have quit Towie in a desperate last attempt to save their relationship – after admitting they are having couples therapy.

The reality pair have stopped filming for the current series and will not feature in the next two episodes of the show.

A source close to the couple said: “James and Yaz have taken a break from the show but are both set to return in the New Year.

“They have struggled with their relationship this series but love and care for each other so want to do whatever it takes to get back on track.

“Time away from the cameras hasn’t come at a better time for Yazmin who is in the process of setting up a fitness boot camp that she hopes will refocus her mind.

“She’s in demand at the moment after overcoming her recent issues and has been offered numerous other TV shows.”

A Towie spokesperson said: “It was mutually decided that James and Yazmin would not film the final two episodes of this series, allowing them time to work on their relationship.”

Yazmin made the decision to take a break during filming earlier this season due to her ongoing battle with depression.

The beauty took a step out of the spotlight to focus on herself and stayed at a Spanish retreat amid dramas with co-star Amber Turner.

Since then the pair have rekindled their friendship onscreen and Yazmin was invited back into her group of pals, that also include Courtney Green and Chloe Meadows.

A source revealed last month that Yazmin's mental help issues were so bad that she didn't want to get out of bed, saying: "She's been treated for anxiety and severe depression.

"James and her friends and family just want her back to her old self and well again."
