VIEWERS of last night's ABC Murders were left feeling queasy after a S&M kinky sex scene.

Fans claim they had to cover their eyes and 'were nearly sick' as Thora Grey dug her heels into the open wounds on Cust's back.

They took to Twitter to discuss the toe-curling scene on the BBC show.

One wrote:" I had to cover my eyes at the heels on back scene. This remake is taking Poirot to a level that’s a bit too gruesome for me #ABCMurders".

Another wrote: "OOF that bit with the heels no ma’am #ABCMurders".

A third said: "Cust has a silk stocking tied around his eyes and gets his landlady's daughter to tread on his back in high heels. Mum: "Is this in the original book?"

A fourth quipped: "Quality dark and grimy television #ABCMurders. Nearly did a little sick at the heels on the back scene though!"

A fifth added: "My mum on #ABCMurders: Why did you choose this, Tiffany?!

"Honestly. How was I meant to know an Agatha Christie adaptation would have a weird sadomasochist scene with heels?"

ABC Murder sees John Malkovich take on the role of Inspector Hercule Poirot.

In the three-part mystery Malkovich stars as an older, apathetic Poirot investigating a serial killer who is working through victims in alphabetical order.

He's joined by a cast including Rupert Grint - best known as Ron Weasley from the Harry Potter series - and Freya Mavor, who starred in E4's Skins.

While there were many adaptions to the plot and story, lots of viewers poked habe fun of Malkovitch's attempt at a Belgium accent.

And one aspect that really ticked people off was the exclusion of Poirot's loyal friend Hastings, who helps aid in the inspector's investigations.
