Pretty useful if you want to have a backup for BitMe or BitSpyder (trackers that don't have any freeleech). At TG, there's are quite a few freeleech torrents plus they add some freeleech torrents every Friday that are free through the weekend (IIRC). So, it's not hard to build a decent buffer.
