And if that is your take away, then you missed the whole point of this minimalist custom design.

This is no TS or Unit3d crap site. Thankfully. This is an evolving (two major user interface revisions in to date) site that has been both stable and fast in all aspects. Yes, like with any software, there are bugs from time to time, but the positives from this unique experience far, far, far out weigh what you have noted as features of value from other bloated sites.

    > No faq or rules

It's a place with a refreshing grown-up attitude, therefore, you should not need rules or FAQ to know how to act responsibly and treat it with respect. For example, the place is ratio free, so do you hit and run, or do you seed responsibly?

    > Lacks forum and even general profile

Instead of forum, there is Discord. A profile has no use, I don't care to share my birth date, otherwise I'd use FB. A user does have need for settings, which it has.

    > No where for requests or uploading

As a site focused on its content, it does not need the overlooked administrative and maintenance overhead and time waste of forum/requests interaction. Rather, the owners primary focus and use of time is invested into the UI and backend function development (while he continues his IRL stuff, like work, to keep this place supported) - this much is abundantly clear.

    > Looks more like a work in progress than a finished site

To not understand or under appreciate what is found here is a mistake, you are not likely to see a site like this one again.
This is all fair. I guess I should maybe have added that it is in comparison to other sites that I am familiar with.

Not using a forum is fine its just different to not see it there and to have discord as a replacement well.... I'm in far to many servers as is and I have stopped joining random servers because its just to many things thrown in a folder that i never look at. i have maybe 3 or 4 servers that i frequent because i am actively gaming in them. joining a server for a torrent site doesn't work for me.

As for rules Its just something I'm accustomed to checking as soon as I make an account on any tracker (especially since I've only recently started using private trackers in the past month.) Usually this is just a repeat of what I already know from other trackers with variation in things like user classes and uploading rules and rewards and such. I don't personally need the rules to tell me how to behave and what good seeding is meant to look like besides the specific ratios. So maybe a Rules page isn't appropriate here because there aren't any specific guidelines but I think a FAQ page with a generalized explanation of what is considered to be good seeding behavior as well as some information about the site and how its run would be a nice addition.

While all your other points make a lot of sense to me and I can see where they are beneficial I would still argue that not having any uploading or requests would limit the content because 1 person only has access to so much. Now I haven't seen any information about where the content is coming from or anything of the sort either and maybe it doesn't only come from one person and that would be the kind of thing I would like to see in a FAQ page. I very well may be wrong and information about how the site works could be the thing that changes my mind but that information isn't really available and Id argue that it isn't abundantly clear to anyone new to the site.

And with all this I should also add that I don't hate the look of the site I actually appreciate that its not taken up with large banners and extensive amounts of clutter. It looks very clean and appealing.

Anyway this is still all opinions based on only a couple days and the very limited information available.

I've looked in the forums for information or a review that might have some details and didn't come up with anything so if there is one out there I wouldn't mind knowing more about it.

    Hi,

we appreacite your honest review, really! As far as the "rules" go, yes, that's usually the first question asked by anyone who joins Discord, so we're working on a FAQ page on the site which should clear up all these things.

Regarding the forum vs discord debate: we're a new site, everything is coded from scratch, so we have to prioritize what we do first. We went with the discord way, since most people have it running anyway. By no means it's a requirement to join and I absolutely understand why you wouldn't. We try to keep it simple for now and work on other aspects of the site that would be more beneficial for more people.

As for the requests/uploads: we're working on it. For now we upload the content from many sources and we try to satisfy everyone's needs, however, we know that wouldn't cut it long term. It's definitely one of our top priorities to have requests/user uploads.
