A newly formed non-profit file-sharing service has done something we can only label as incredible. Files4Food is offering a free meal to any child that needs one for each file that gets shared by using their website.

Files4Food was the idea of Gridblaze company, a Content Storage Networks service that hopes to raise food for the needy, covering 17 countries across the world. These meals are to be managed and administered by Food For The Poor, the largest international relief organization in the US.
On January the 10th, 2013, Files4Food launched the program, trying to change the public’s opinion about file-sharing. The service is completely free, comes with no annoying ads, and allows anyone to upload files of up to 1GB (no registration required).
Although the company behind Files4Food initiated this program on their own expense, contributors, sponsors, and partners are welcomed. Whoever decides to help them out is going to appear on the download page, but not in the form of advertisements.
Another advantage that comes with using Files4Food is that of speed. The technology behind Gridblaze’s Content Storage Networks makes this file-sharing service the fastest in the world, in terms of both downloading and uploading.
In other words, Files4Food keeps the uploaded files as close as possible to the user, by automatically routing and storing files close to the point of origin.
Up until now, Files4Food has gathered 1139 meals.
We can only say congratulations for such an initiative, and keep up the good work!
