If You Get Locked Out.....

Guys'n'Gals, Pirates'n'Pirettes,

We're having problems with verification emails, the ones that are sent out when you change your password or email address to prove it's really you wanting to make the change. It can also happen when a new member signs up.

Sometimes the email doesn't reach the recipient and the account gets stuck in 'validating' mode, and then the member gets locked out of their account.

If you're doing a password change you'll be able to try the Lost Password link from outside, try it a few times as one of them may get through. But if that fails you'll then need another way to get in touch.

Our Rules & Guidelines have always provided a section that gives you an email address to contact should you get locked out = 30. Locked Out?

But yeah.... members still get locked out

So this is a force-read Announcement.
We don't want any more of you to get lost at sea.... OK!
So please make a note of this email address if you haven't already:
here

Do it now please, even if you think "ah that'll never happen to me"

And don't add it to your Contacts, just keep a note of it somewhere and then if something does happen you can always use it to get hold of us.

And please ONLY EVER use that email address if you are LOCKED OUT, any other emails will be ignored.
