Halloween was a pretty big success as far as releases go, lots of great things happening, but it's a new month, and we have lots of goodies in the works for you guys. We don't really celebrate anything during November, kind of an off month for us, so we'll just make this whole month all about site improvement till we get to our 31 Days of Christmas...Let's get Started.

We'd like to introduce the new official mascot of PiXELHD, I'm sure you've seen this version floating around for a while, but it's time we said goodbye to the old LiMEY, and ushered in his slimmer, more aesthetically pleasing, post plastic surgery version. We'll be rolling out some emoticons as well as making a post later on with all the various images of the official LiMEY, all in hi-res of course so you can make new avatars, funny images, etc. Of course his evil twin, LeMON, will be joining him as well.

Stacks

You may have noticed up top, gone is the word 'Collages', let's face it, that word is pretenious and has nothing to do with us, it's just an old remnant left from the Gazelle code base, so we thought we'd spice it up and give it a more meaningful name.

Stacks.

Everyone at some point in time has had a stack of movies or tv shows, VHS, DVDs, BluRays etc. Often times they are turned different directions and are just stacked, so we did just that, we stacked them, you can flip through a few of the movies in a stack, or you can visit the details page and spread them all out to see what you have. Stacks still works similar to collages, but it's more beautiful than ever before, and let's face it, like the rest of our site, most people haven't even thought about doing anything like it before. Sure it's all 'Eye Candy', but it sure does taste good.

Friends

We've always been a bit big on community driven features, we heavily encourage participation in the forums, comment threads of movies and shows, IRC, but we never encouraged really branching out and getting to know one another. We've always had a friend's list, albeit a little bit drab, however we've worked some PiXEL magic on it, and it's now a rather beautiful site to see.

You can filter by several variables and based on those filters you can send a Mass PM, say you got an invite to this new sexy tracker and you want your friends here who are Power Users to know about it, just filter them and click Mass PM. Easy as that.

We will have more friends list related features and improvements coming, but that is just to get you guys started. Some of you may have noticed in the Trophies and Achievements thread that I was giving everyone a 'friendly' reminder of more Trophies and Achievements to come, well, we are adding a new set of trophies regarding Friends on site. The more friends you have, the more trophies you can earn.

Green With Envy

Some of you may have noticed a slight change of color. We've been busy tweaking our colors for a bit now after seeing that god awful orange we had splattered all over the site, we apologize for that, but now that Halloween and the month of October is gone, we decided to throw a nice shade of green all over the site. It's still a work in progress, but we think you'll like it.

As always, we hate asking, but you know we have to. We haven't met our goals in quite sometime, but hopefully these next 2 months will make up for that. We always see a spike in Donations around the holidays which is great. We have a lot of great stuff coming and without donations, big or small, none of this stuff is possible.
