Filesharing is on the increase as i understand it. Big part of that is that mainstream paid streaming sites are not only increasing their costs but also acting in unpleasant ways. One example is Netflix recent move to prevent its members from sharing their account with friend or family member. The other problem with streaming services like Amazon, Warnerbros, Apple, etc is that they all gate off their content forcing people to have multiple services if they wish to have access to everything. Its just not sustainable for most consumers. AND i havent even mentioned how films and tv series have limited runs and then disappear.

Of course inflation or "sense of value" is another big factor for most, so the first things to cut from our monthly budgets are services considered to be a luxury. Just because these people cancel subs doesnt meant they stop consuming content and thats where filesharing will fill the void. That great hobby that many of us partake in has become more complicated as Search engines and ISP clamp down on public trackers. Ive even noticed some private trackers being blacklisted which has been big surprise to me.
Its always unfortunate when trackers or groups die out but i think the demand for filesharing will only increase, especially in 2023. Inspite of Hollywood attemp to shut this all down, this cat and mouse game will never end. There will either be bigger demand for private trackers or pirating on public services will just be driven deeper underground!

Reading about downfall of RARBG has been interesting to me as i learn more about it typical user base. These are people who typically hit and run and dont seem to donate to RARBG. So it all the more impressive that the group have lasted this long. I still have doubts about their "reasons" for closing but it seems you cant deny their impact on the filesharing scene. Whatever void is experienced at the moment will be filled whether from a new group or groups and then you have tons of content from private trackers that will trickle down through the system as well.

In situations like this, you reflect and respect but then after, You DOUBLE DOWN!
