BakaBT News - BitTorrent and uTorrent clients suffer security vulnerability
Following the reports of major security flaws discovered in newer and older builds of uTorrent and Bittorrent that allows outsiders to gain control over your computer all windows versions of uT and Bittorrent have been removed from our whitelist.
More on this issue can be found here.
It may be possible to mitigate this bug by disabling net discoverability in uTorrent versions 2.2.1 and earlier as shown in this image

But it is not confirmed, and probably won't be, if this solves this vulnerability.
Currently the only certain way to mitigate this bug is to not use uTorrent or Bittorrent versions altogether and move to safer clients such as Tixati, BiglyBT, qBittorrent, Deluge and other open source projects.
Similar bug has been reported to affect users of Transmission, but a patch has been published according to TorrentFreak.
Because of this latest version of qBittorrent (v4.0.4) has also been approved and added to our approveed client list, however do note that some users may experience unstable upload and download speeds unlike with previous builds such as v3.3.16.
New whitelist should be in effect in few hours, so it might be time to start mitigating your torrents to other clients.
Our updated whitelist can be found here.
