Problems with Transmission

Because of our server-host firewall, HTTP requests coming from the torrent client Transmission are blocked if it runs on Linux.

For those of you who have some technical bearing, there is probably a SYN flood protection that kicks in because of the small SYN packages that Transmissing sends by default.

Currently, there are three solutions to this problem:

• Switch torrent client (eg Deluge or qBittorrent)
• Wait for Transmission to resolve the issue (Guess this is long over)
• Increase "TCP Window scaling" to 4096 bytes globally.

The last point is the simplest solution for those who have root access, for example, it can be done by running the following command as root:
