Just a gentle reminder to be mindful of MMAT's basic rules: Link See on site
Specifically all the ones related to being respectful to your fellow members and staff.

MMAT isn't what it is if not for the volunteer time put in by our community: uploaders who source and share all the media we enjoy, members who add news or contribute and participate in other ways and staff who spent untold hours furiously trying to keep this place from all burning down. No one's being paid to do this, it's all a labor of love.

So please think twice before you criticize other members - perhaps when commenting too negatively or too quickly on an upload for not being seeded as fast or as perfectly as you think it should. Or against another member or staff for any sleights, real or perceived.

Unfortunately two long time members have had their accounts disabled recently for repeatedly breaking the rules about being respectful to one another and especially for abusive behavior towards staff. Such actions aren't taken lightly. We're not thin-skinned. But repeatedly, directing insults and name calling specific staff members is crossing a line. An account being disabled isn't a knee-jerk reaction. It often follows after a long trail of behind the scenes warnings to the offending user. At some point though, enough is enough.

In the end, staff would very much rather spend their time watching all the media available here on MMAT and engaging in fruitful and civil discussions in the forums... rather than corralling and policing members. Please take that to heart. There are a few jits instructionals I personally would have rather have spent my time obsessing over, rather than writing this gentle reminder. But I just hope that the time spent to write a well worded communication will be taken to heart and continue to help MMAT be the special place that it is for everyone.
