We have a new internal Syncs group on the tracker, do you want to join?

Here we will welcome colleagues who want to join this group that will dedicate themselves to synchronizing audio for movies and/or series and transferring them to the Latin language.
The goal of this group is to create a collaborative community of audio and subtitle synchronizers that shares knowledge, techniques, and resources to improve its members' synchronization skills.

To be the reference in the community of audio synchronizers and subtitles, promoting excellence in synchronization and the use of accessible technology.

Minimum requirements to belong to the Synchronizers Group

Knowledge of Audio Formats and High Quality

Lossy compression formats:
AC3, EAC3, AAC, DTS

Lossless compression formats:
WAV, FLAC, TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio

Understand sampling frequency concepts (44.1 kHz, 48 kHz , 96 kHz, etc.) and bitrate, especially in surround and high-definition audio formats.
Understand the concept of FPS (FrameRate) and its different types (Example: 23.976, 24, 25, 29.97, 30)

Experience in Audio Synchronization
Practical use of tools such as Audacity to align audios.
Familiarity with the identification of time mismatches (delay), time adjustment, and methods such as stretch and shrink to synchronize audio from different frame rates (fps).

Mastery of Manual Synchronization Methods
Using the waveform method to compare waveforms and adjust audio precisely.
Use of the spectrogram to identify hits and visual references that improve timing accuracy.

Multichannel Audio Management
Knowledge and experience working with multichannel audio (5.1, 2.0).
Knowing how to synchronize multiple channels without losing quality or consistency in the mix.

Video Editing
Knowledge of audio and video synchronization using editing software.
Handle video editing tools that allow audio or video speed adjustments, such as the stretch and shrink methods.
We will be doing a synchronization test to join the group. Those who wish to enter contact us privately.

If you are new to the topic of synchronization, don't worry, you can gain experience with the tutorials that we have been making for the community. When you're ready, we'll let you join the group.

We hope to see you soon!
