1. server overload remediation.
Steps:
Replacing SATA with SSD server disk

limited to 1 invite per PU per month, unused invites expire. VIP: no change.
(considering further limitations, e.g. refreshment of invites depending on invitees tracker activity (minimum of 50 torrents downloaded per month, incl. feature torrents - too many invitees never regularly use the site)

short version:
revised trumping rules
576p bluray can trump 576p DVD encode.
DVD source can trump bluray where documented evidence of superior quality exists (only by staff approval)
revised encoding rules
new xvid/avi encodes from optical media no longer accepted (unless material unvailable otherwise)
revised co-existence
480p (DVD) and 576p (bluray) can co-exist

ratio relaxation. even members with low ratio can download if they seed at least ‘x’ number of torrents.

scope for UHD (aka 4K aka 2160p) and/or UHD x265 1080p encodes?

4.“archiving” of trumped torrent announces.
Trumped torrents will no longer be deleted.
Instead they will be “deactivated”, set to “legacy torrent” status.
The announce and comments will remain accessible.
If required, torrent can be “reactivated”.

It is hoped this will give a long-term overview (version history of torrents) of tracker history.

5. 48h FL on upgrades
An upgrade will get a 48h FL status (for all), pending staff approval.

6. 48h FL on completed subtitle pot torrents
Upon staff approval of a subtitle pot, the respective torrent will get a 48h FL status (for all).

7. replacement of current reseed/request bonus allocation system
The buggy and intranspararent bonus system will be overhauled.
Reseed request bonus cost can be determined by requester (minimums apply).
E.g. member A can pledge 5GB bonus for a reseed. Reseeder will receive 5GB upon completion.
This will require a bit of work and fine-tuning. No ETA.

8. annual donation drive (May)
Collection of required funds and possibly transition to newer hardware.
This will require further discussion among staff.

9. International KG meeting (July)
proposed date the weekend of July 7/8
location: Berlin, Germany

venue: TBD
scope: a friendly get together; perhaps some short talks; watch some films (any KG’ers who wish to show their own work?)
