Competition Overview

bitGAMER is celebrating the month of August with the bitGAMER 2012 Olympics!

Each week this month, we will give the community a new set of categories to compete in. We will give out medals (prize
packages) based on things like best description, most snatched upload, most uploads, etc.

In order to qualify for a medal, you simply need to upload qualifying (non-rule-breaking) torrents in the designated
categories each week!


Weekly Categories

Week 1 (Saturday 4th - Friday 10th): Console
Xbox, Xbox 360, Gamecube, Wii, Playstation 2, and Playstation 3

Week 2 (Saturday 11th - Friday 17th): Portable & Mobile
iPhone/iPod/iPad, Android, 3DS, DS, Game Boy Advance, and Playstation Portable (PSP)

Week 3 (Saturday 18th - Friday 24th): Other
Burning/Ripping Tools, Guides/Game Documents, Movies/TV/Video, and Music

Week 4 (Saturday 25th - Friday 31st): PC
Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows


Awards

Weekly medals:
Gold: 250 GB of upload credit
Silver: 100 GB of upload credit
Bronze: 50 GB of upload credit

Grand Prize medals:
Gold: 750 GB of upload credit, €50 ByteSized Hosting gift certificate, VIP status
Silver: 500 GB of upload credit, €25 ByteSized Hosting gift certificate
Bronze: 250 GB of upload credit, €10 ByteSized Hosting gift certificate


Medal Criteria

Weekly criteria:
• Best description (as voted by a community poll)
• Most snatched torrent
• Most combined snatches (combined snatches for every torrent a user uploaded in qualifying categories)
• Top uploader (most torrents uploaded in qualifying categories -- torrents must not break site rules)

Grand Prize criteria:
• The grand prize medals will be given to the three users with the most cumulative medals through the entire month.


Notes

The competition starts Saturday the 4th (12:00 AM GMT Saturday morning) and ends on Friday the 31st (11:59 PM
GMT). We will post a notice on the news page to remind everyone of which week we're in.
