Regarding re-uploads
If you can use the original .torrent file when uploading an item lost during the robot uprising the existing seeds will reconnect. Seek help retrieving .torrent files from the bittorrent program of your choosing in the Help forums.

Likewise, don't stop seeding so that you're still available to reconnect!
