Merry Christmas

Antlers,

As we gather this Christmas season, let us pause and reflect on the miracle of Christ’s birth in Bethlehem over two millennia ago. In the stillness of that holy night, the Savior of the world entered into our human story, bringing with Him the promise of peace, love, and redemption. His light continues to shine into our hearts, illuminating even the darkest corners of our lives and our world.

This year, we find ourselves yearning deeply for that peace not only within our homes and communities but also in places torn apart by conflict. We look forward with hope to the possibility of lasting peace in the Middle East, where the echoes of Christ’s footsteps remind us of our shared humanity. Likewise, we pray for an end to the strife in Ukraine, where too many have suffered for too long. May the Prince of Peace guide the hearts of leaders and nations toward reconciliation and healing.

Christmas reminds us that even in times of uncertainty, change is always possible. The message of the manger is that God is with us, inviting us to become agents of His love and grace in a world in desperate need of both. Let us embrace this calling, striving for a future marked by compassion, justice, and unity.

And so, as we celebrate this season, let us echo the words of Tiny Tim from A Christmas Carol: “God bless us, every one!” May your Christmas be filled with joy and love, and may the New Year bring renewal, healing, and blessings beyond measure.

On behalf of myself and the Staff, a very Merry Christmas to all!
