How To Turn Off Automatic App Updates from the Microsoft Store in Windows 10
It’s generally a good idea to keep your apps updated, but there are situations where you might not want to. You might be on a metered connection or have a data cap you’re trying not to exceed. Or, you might not want a particular app updated to a new, buggy version. Here’s how to prevent the Microsoft Store from automatically updating apps you’ve downloaded from it.
The first thing you’ll need to do is fire up the Microsoft Store. Hit Start, type “store” into the search box, and then click “Microsoft Store.”

In the Store app, at the top right, click on the See More button (the three dots) and then click “Settings.”

From here, turn off the “Update Apps Automatically” toggle.

From now on if you want to update any applications associated with the Microsoft Store you will have to open the Store and manually update them through the “Downloads and Updates” settings. To re-enable automatic updates, follow the steps above and turn the “Update Apps Automatically” toggle back on.
