I recently made the jump to having my total and permanent cloud storage solution be a Google Apps Unlimited account.

Usually those accounts are for medium-to-large sized enterprise customers, but you can have it for your personal use and only pay $10 a month (per user).

I do believe that in these types of accounts Google does not scan or hash check your documents for matching pirated content. Although they will take down content and possibly disable accounts that receive flags such as DMCA takedown requests or even porn flags. Just try not to share your files publicly or with many users, especially users outside the Google Apps domain you will be using.

Anyway, if you are interested in doing this, you first need a domain - any domain will do - and follow the guide "Google Apps Setup for my domain" (I'm unsure wherer posting links is allowed but Google is your friend).

This account will run you $5 a month per user you have active at the beginning of each month (this is an important detail to remember for later) and will provide you with 30GB of Drive storage. Bah! Humbug.

This is the fun part, where we will get to have unlimited storage. An interesting thing I discovered using this service is that Google does in fact give you unlimited storage but they open the gate at 10TB, and for each MB you use they give you another MB of storage. What this means is that you always will have the amount of storage you are using +10TB with no roof limit (apparently), I'm up to 9TB of stull and Google tells me I have 19TB available and everytime I upload more stuff the numbers keep growing.

Ok then, so now you have your Google Apps account with probably only one user active (you). The next thing you will want to do is create 4 more users, even with dummy info if you want (Google will NOT charge you for the users right away but it will charge you at the beginning of the next month). So in the end you have 5 users.

At this point you need to go into your Google Apps Console and activate the Unlimited Service. With 5 users active at the time it will unlock the full unlimited storage (If you have 4 or fewer users active upon activation each user gets 1TB instead of unlimited).

Wait a few minutes and check the storage in Google Drive, once it tells you that all users in your domain can enjoy unlimited storage you are set!

The only remaining thing to do is remove the other 4 users before the next month so Google only charges you for 1. In my testing with my own domain, even if you have fewer than 5 users upon next billing the storage will not get nerfed back. From now on your Google Apps Unlimited account will cost you $10 but you will have unlimited storage!

I hope this was helpful to some of you. If I can I will try to update it with more detailed instructions, but it's really very simple to perform this steps.

If you guys are interested I can show you my full setup where I download stuff to my seedbox, transfer directly to Google drive and stream to all my devices. This is an incredible setup because I don't have to use my own bandwith and the stuff downloads/uploads at seedbox speeds. Google seems to be able to handle any upload speed you throw at it. Even from multiple IPs.

Anyway if you enjoyed please like, rep and the whole shebang.
