OlliOlli World developer Roll7 has been acquired by Take-Two Interactive.

Take-Two Interactive, owner of Rockstar Games and 2K, has now acquired the small studio called Roll7 behind the OlliOlli series. The studio will continue to operate under the company's broadcast label, Private Division.

Private Division will release its next game, OlliOlli World, Roll7's next game, which was expected to be released by the end of the year but has now been delayed to the first quarter of 2022. It seems that both parties have seen that they work well enough together to make their partnership permanent. While Roll7 becomes one of Private Division's in-house studios, the terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Roll7 is known for its streaming state approach to games; This idea will allow players to be completely immersed in a game and completely focused on the game. The original OlliOlli was released on PlayStation Vita in 2014, and Roll7 won the BAFTA best sports game award the following year.

In OlliOlli World, you will collect points by performing tricks while navigating each level. Following the pixel art design of the first two games in the series, Roll7 opted for a hand-drawn art style this time.

Finally, let's mention that OlliOlli World PC will come to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
