The Muller Report is being adapted into a graphic novel. Officially titled "Report on the Investigation into Russian Interference in the 2016 Presidential Election," the report details the findings of Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his team as they looked into alleged Russian efforts to interfere in the 2016 United States presidential election. It also looks into the allegations of conspiracy or coordination between Donald Trump's presidential campaign team and Russia, as well was claims of obstruction of justice. A 448-page redacted version of the report was released to the public on April, although its full version was submitted to Attorney General William Barr the month prior.

Since its release, The Mueller Report has been the root of confusion for the American people. Barr condensed the contents of the report in a four-page letter which he sent to Congress. Shortly after, Mueller privately wrote the Attorney General saying that his letter "did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance of this office's work and conclusions" further piquing the interest of the public to learn what the report really says. Mueller then came out basically giving the House two options: take over the investigation or start the impeachment process with no movement regarding the matter thus far giving the impression that it wasn't as simple as Barr initially made it sound like. Considering the spread of misinformation and rise of unsubstantiated rumors regarding the Mueller Report, IDW decides to make it more accessible to everyone by turning it into a graphic novel.

The official news release on IDW's site reveals details about The Mueller Report: Graphic Novel from Eisner Award-winning New Yorker cartoonist Shannon Wheeler and veteran journalists Steve Duin. The graphic novel is described to be a "comprehensive, understandable, and readable graphic novel version of the book every patriot needs." The book's editor Justin Eisinger expressed his excitement over this upcoming project, saying that it will be a great read for anyone who wants to learn about the real contents of the The Mueller Report.

It will also be affordable as it will cost $15.99 when it hits shelves next April. The tricky part here, however, is to make sure that the novel stays true to the real Mueller Report and it captures the full essence of the Special Counsel's conclusion regarding this controversial matter that had divided the nation but still making it an entertaining read.

With an April 2020 release date, the graphic novel is coming out at a crucial time with the 59th quadrennial U.S. presidential election only seven months away. President Trump has long expressed his desire to win another four-year term, but the release of The Mueller Report: Graphic Novel can negatively impact his chances of winning depending on how the public receives this adaptation. In any case, it's a good source material for people who are itching to learn more about this issue but doesn't have the patience or time to tackle a 400-page all-text paper.
