the first modem I pirated with was a 300 baud hooked up to a C64 though I hand swapped and copied diskettes; 5 and a quarters no less with locksmith on an apple II.. man am I old .. just turned 45...so I have been a pirate and programmer for 38 years.. sheesh I never thought i'd see 28.. that's a handshake eh?? that sound the computers made to introduce one another and set the baud rate, compression and what protocol they'd use....
