When was the last time you went to the movies? Not, when was the last time you watched a movie, but, when was the last time you actually went to the movies? Well, if you are like most folks, it has probably been a while as today the word comes down that Movie Attendance Hits A 25-Year Low. 2017 marked a 25-year low for movie attendance numbers, which comes according to Box Office Mojo.

The total of movie tickets in the US was only 1.239 billion, the lowest total since 1992. While studios continue to look for new ways to fix the trend, streaming seems to be having a big impact the trend. We have even seen studios such as Disney launching their own streaming platforms to help combat the issue, which in turn could change the concept of moviegoing quite drastically. Interesting news to say the least.
