i knew many many ppl who are against donations to Torrent trackers

and honestly i still don't know why they think it's not cool to donate regardless what their answer

Torrent is based on Paying for Servers + Coders services and maintenance + hosting + securing the ecosystem of the tracker + paying for Scene FTPs + VPN's...etc

and if the whole money goes to the trackers costs i think no need to be against donating help the tracker you care about

and if you are against paying to get GBs credits or donations it's ok i understand but isn't better when you donate and get something back


so are u with or against plz share your thoughts

Personally I dont mind donations because as you said for a tracker to stay alive they need to pay for the servers and a whole maintenance that goes for operating the site and if you get some extra benefits for donating that is just a plus for kind gesture for a user that donated the money and he feels like that he played an important role where he also gets a satisfaction that because of him a tracker will stay alive for the next month/year .

Im not even against a donation to buy an invite to the tracker. Yeah is true that tracker then losses a bit in credibility by how prestigious is some tracker and that you need to work for it in order to get in where you then cherish it so much more and be cautious to not lose an access but for me it doesnt bother me that much because as long as I have an option/ability to mass library for certain type of material that tracker offers it brings a smile to my face .

I believe donation is qood, but trackers should be transparent and not make strategies force members to donate.

donations is the life for trackers we lost many good ones for financial issues and yes we should give back

you can't be sure 100% if whole money goes to pay tracker costs only,

but even if they cut a very little slice for them of the donation (in case they dedicate whole their time to run the tracker and it's their work) i won't mind too to be honest.
they need to buy coffee too lol

Unlike public torrent sites private trackers do not have third party ads so donations are extremely important for them.
I totally do not mind donating.
