With all the new laws being passed, piracy and online freedom seems to be under a serious threat. Corporations are trying to shut down the popular file-sharing sites, but they keep resurrecting. How long is it going to last?

Are public trackers safe any longer? Can we count on them, or should we switch to private ones? What is your opinion on this?
