I suppose unRARed is more convenient but for me it really doesn't matter.
I prefer Unrared
because we don't need double space to seed and use the content
unrar,just easy
Prefer unrared.
Why? better overview of what your getting, no additional files sneaked in, and less hassle..
I prefer unRARed, because it's simple and doesn't need double space.
Unrar, because you can see exactly which all files are included.
I prefer Unrared for larges files because you don't have to wait for extraction and you skip the risk of error. But for small files I think both are fine. Also when you have multiple files you can see all them when not rared.
So one more vote for Unrared !
:thrasher:
I always prefer Unrared torrents because I use ftp to download from seedbox and It's easy when you have unrared files.
I don't really like rared ones. With unrared there's no jumble opening, and you can see what files you're downloading.
all scene release are Rared it's the rules - i prefer unRared to skip the risk of errors...
unrar
unRARed is usually more convenient since you don't have to take the time to unpack, and downloading via torrent negates the advantage RAR files might have when downloading directly anyway. Though for some files, like videos, I don't really care since many players can just play from a RAR file.
unrared, more space on hdd
UnRar Because Its Easy :D
These days RAR or ZIP never gives great compression ratio.
Good old days of getting great compression ratios are over with advanced MPEG and JPEG compression algorithms for pictures and movies.
It is almost always better to torrent files in original condition unless RAR or ZIP is only used as a container (0% compression) with self recovery built-in.
RAR or unRAR, I simply hate multi-part RARs.
UnRARed torrents because it's less complicated and rared files maybe damaged when archived & need time to unrar
I prefer RAR'd because that the standard of the SCENE ;-) Also, makes it better to download or even re-download broken rar files on slow connection. Not to mantion you can do checksum of the files.
No Rar. Because to use the file, I had to extract it and it's using up extra disk space. Even more so if you are seeding the torrent.
unRARed, just less of a hassle and i go out of my way to avoid any RARed torrent if i can.
NoRAR's is the best. Easy to keep files in order, easy to seed and cross seed.
.rar is a great compression format. But it hasn't been needed since 2004. larger hard drives and bigger bandwidth mean we don't really care about compression and errors as much.
also...
Its good to be back.
unrared will get seeded 1000 times longer on my system
unRARed torrents
I'd say go with rar if its needed, if it's just a small file then no need to rar it just an un-neccesary step.
rar
Why: Because you can transfer them faster then a unrar file.
I hate rar files on large files. Unrared Original files for me is preferred
RAR'ed, solely because then when I download something, I can cross seed on any tracker I'm on. If it's unRAR'ed, that cuts down on where I can seed the same release.
Most probably unrared if disk space is low
Otherwise its good for cross-seeding
both, but unrared torrents are much easier to handle
UnRARed. The only advantage of RARed is a quicker download, but you have to have double filespace to use it and seed it. Also just a hassle...
rar for iso
but I prefer unrared, since I can select the file that I need
No rar. I don't like having to keep all the rar files to seed.
I prefer unRARed! I generally download various soundtracks, and it is easier to organize and seed in my opinion.
I don't know if anyone like the RARed versions of files. Double the space as everyone keeps saying. It just makes seeding that more difficult. I'd much rather have to download 10 gigs and that be it than have to unarchive and keep both versions on my hard drive.
Unrared, while I understand why it was/is done which was so that if part of a file got corrupted less of it would have to be replaced, with torrents this isn't an issue at all. Not to mention the fact that unraring takes time and double the space.
unRARed torrents it's nice,easy >> Best for me :D
I prefer unRARed torrents.
I understand that back in the day every transferred megabyte was precious so it made sense to make parts of a bigger file exchangable if something went wrong while transferring. But I think nowadays I would always prefer unrared files.
