• Personal perception of a tracker's worth/value
• The attitudes of a particular tracker
• How much bonus seed points I get
• A tracker's formula for how much bonus points I get, in relation to the average size of each torrent
• Etc.

Honestly, these days, the staff of many trackers across the board posses horrific bedside manner. Depending on the tracker, I may not donate to be a "VIP," but I have donated for unlimited downloads with no H&R. That's more valuable to me that becoming VIP. I'd rather pay do download that accept many of their bullshit.

getting a seedbox and VIP is two entirely separate issue. Why would you even use them in the same sentence?

Because both require money, and both are similar in pricing, seedboxes and VIP status.

Both have similar end result, which is you "do not have to put any effort from you side", example seedboxes can seed 24/7 and easily get a 1 ratio and with VIP you either get freeleech or HNR immunity or both, both means less tension on the user.

But i understand, when you said user perception, I have seen VIPs on IPT but because of toxic reviews floating around, like the staff become like sharks when you stop becoming VIP, I will never become vip there. so I use a seedbox, and not worry about ratio or 14 days long hnr.

And if i have seedbox, i can use in other places too.

You're still comparing apples to oranges. Seedbox, and a VIP status offer two entirely different functions. IN my opinion, you should not think of it solely on price, but what physical benefit you get from it. A real pirate veteran uses both, because he/she understand what he/she needs them for. If I were on a fixed income, I think the seedbox would be of greater value.

Im not a Pirate Veteran yet, but Thats a good point, I guess I would stick with my seedbox then.

Honestly, I think a lot of people under estimate just how much stuff there is to know about pirating. There is so much that goes into our decision making. This is why you never stop reading, because it's scary how much can change in 6 months.
