CJ McCollum torched the nets early Wednesday against the Bulls, leading to a new Trail Blazers franchise record.
McCollum poured in 28 points in the first quarter — on 9-of-10 shooting from the field — leading to a new Portland franchise record for points scored in the first quarter.

The 28 points were also the most scored by any player in a single quarter so far this season. McCollum entered the game averaging 21.4 points per game.
He finished with a with a career-high 50 points in just three quarters of action, becoming just the second player in the shot clock era to score 50 points in less than 30 minutes of play (29 minutes)
