Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have reached 1000 career goals combined following the Argentine's strike against Atletico Madrid on Saturday.

Messi netted the equaliser in Barcelona's 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid on Saturday - meaning that he and Ronaldo together have reached a huge milestone.

The pair have been long-time rivals, and while Ronaldo wins the battle in terms of goals, Messi trumps the Real Madrid star in terms of club trophies won, as well as possessing a better goals-per-game ratio.

Messi also won the Ballon d'Or for the fifth time in his career earlier in January, while Ronaldo has won the award three times so far.

Indeed man they just have each other, i mean players have one or two good seasons but them they're on the top every season and that's something

Messi and Ronaldo both regressed in the last years man. It was used to be a 2 men race for the best in the world title but Suarez joins them form his last year of Liverpool and now he is more important to Barca than Messi. Look at his statitstics.
It can be arguable who is the best from the three of them but Suarez is definitely on level with them at the moment.

All three of them has an unbelivable offensive skillset but in my opinion Suarez is the best NOW because of his workrate , overall contribution to his team ( better presser, defensive contribution ) winning desire ( he can sacrifice his own statistics, fame for team succes while while Messi and Ronaldo always want to be in the spotlight)

i cant agree more But u're wrong about one thing maybe in the past messi wants to be in the spotlight but at the moment it's a different story , He is barely playing forward or trying to score in every chance like he used to, now he is like a midfielder but tbh i like him this way coz now can really see that he is mature and thinking more about his teammates which in the benefit of team after all
