Google just announced that it's now offering a brand new Android feature designed to keep the screen of your smartphone clean and fresh at all times. Aptly called Screen Cleaner, this feature is nothing short of revolutionary, eliminating the need to manually wipe your phone's display when it becomes dirty.

According to Google, Screen Cleaner can dislodge dirt, smudges, and other unwanted stuff that may reside on your screen. How does it do that? Well, it appears that Google has developed a smudge detector API (application programming interface) that can recognize residues and imperfections on the surface of the screen. Once detected, the residues are shaken off by smartly targeted micromovements. After that, using your phone's vibrating motor and haptic controls, Screen Cleaner can generate microvibrations to form a non-stick shield that further keeps your handset sparkling clean. Screen Cleaner is included in Files by Google - a highly-rated Android app that helps you manage the content of your smartphone, clean unwanted files, and share files offline.
