Funny thing about this is Oppo pulled this way before Apple and Motorola did. Most would be surprised that this happened on a smartphone in 2012 with the Oppo Finder. Phone came with micro USB headphones and supported stereo over Bluetooth. Then in 2014, again before Moto and Apple, Oppo released the R5 without a jack. That was only because they wanted to make the phone as thin as humanly possible which is why the R5 is still the worlds thinnest phone to date, being 4.85mm thick. The only real way I can think this to work is if wireless charging suddenly becomes available through the metal phone housing in some way. Dongles are nice for laptops, but phones not so much.
