Launch of the Installer 4 Ever source

An Installer.app v4 source that hosts Installer and Cydia packages for firmware 2.0-2.2.1.

Saurik no longer supports Cydia on firmware 2.0-2.2.1. The dreaded SSL errors will most likely never be fixed or patched. Since this has been a thing for awhile now, the only way I see forward is to use a different package manager to distribute all the Cydia and Installer packages made for firmware 2, so that people can still install stuff on the device themselves like they used to be able to do. Installer.app v4 is the best solution here. Since everything is based off of 3rd party repositories and there is no SSL, Installer.app will continue working indefinitely for the end of time while Cydia will remain most likely broken.

Cydia debs are being manually converted by me to the Installer 4 format, some packages are already availble such as Logo Me, Open SSH, curl, Open SSL, Mobile Terminal, Safari Download Plug-In 2.0, and VFDecrypt. Currently dependencies are not implemented, so READ THE DESCRIPTION of the package your installing. If it says something else must be installed for the package to work, install it as well.

Using this Installer.app source requires Cydia to be installed with the jailbreak, as the Cydia packages I have converted to Installer format still require the underlaying framework Cydia uses. You however do not need to ever even open Cydia. You might want to however, open it once to stash apps, ringtones, and fonts for more root partition space if your into that.

Finding 2.x compatible tweaks and apps is becoming difficult, if you have any not on this source link them in a message to me (u/random_user_online) on Reddit. I'll put them up on the source.

How to get it
I recommend using BiTunes if you have both a Mac and an original iPhone/iPod Touch to downgrade, restore, and jailbreak firmware 2.0-2.2.1. The jailbreaks included in BiTunes (PwnageTool and QuickPwn) both have options for getting the Installer 4 app as well as Cydia, which is the only requirement for this source. This Installer.app source will work on any iPhone or iPod Touch on firmware 2.0-2.2.1.

Once jailbroken on firmware 2.0-2.2.1 with both Installer.app and Cydia, open Installer.app and add the source link http://whitera1n.com/i4e. Refresh, and all the packages will become availble for download.
